THESE ARE THE HEROES WITH THE PASSION TO TRANSFORM THEIR COMMUNITIES

Our Story

When we were searching for a school for our daughter, we were not no much worried about what she would be learning in school, but we were more worried about what she would potentially loose. Mundane schooling would make her dull and dependent. We wanted our child to retain her innate spontaneity , curiosity, learning ability and not be in a regimented spoon-fed system.

The other aspect was the total absence of local language in schools. It is unfortunate that there is so little effort to teach other languages, if at all present in all the schools we visited. English, she would anyway’s learn – we wanted our daughter to grow up good at multiple languages and especially also the local language. The early age is the age for language acquisition, and it should be used for that. Children growing up in a multilingual environment are more versatile, smarter, and it is integral to holistic learning.

Young children, at that age, should be spending time playing. Their love for nature and outdoors should be encouraged. It is is a very positive thing. Not finding a school which satisfied all this, we finally decided to start one on our own, supported by some of our friends, who shared this thinking.

Its been over five years now, and a very satisfying journey. We are a vibrant, multilingual, nature-loving school and children enjoy it thoroughly. They are active and happy. We always felt that having a liberal, friendly atmosphere should make them more interested in academics subjects, not less. That having free play should sharpen their minds and learning should be better, not worse. That teaching Kannada should actually improve their English. And we have a system that does that, at least as far as reading and writing goes. We have our new unique phonics call the Chili Pili Phonics which teaches languages conceptually. We have had children crack spelling Bee as well with his methodology with ease. Explore the website for more, and get in touch if it interests you.
